Frame Drawings

Steelwork drawings for removing a chimney breast

Removing a chimney breast means supporting what's above it - usually with a beam (and often a gallows bracket or beam arrangement) designed by a structural engineer.

Once you have the engineer's calcs, I produce the setting-out and fabrication drawing so your builder installs the support correctly and Building Control is satisfied.

As always, the beam and bracket are sized by the engineer; I draw from their design.

Steel beam drawings

Structural sizing, spans and load calculations must be carried out by a qualified structural engineer. These pages help you plan the drawings you need - they are information only and are not structural engineering advice.
